However, they have helped to shape our country. One event that has shaped our country was the Nat Turner’s Rebellion. Nat Turner’s Rebellion was one of the worst slave rebellion in American history. The rebellion took place in Southampton County, Virginia in 1831. Nat Turner was a slave who led the rebellion that took place on August 21st.
Syngman Rhee was born on March 26th 1875, in Kaesong, Korea. Rhee went to a Methodist school, where he learned English. Then in 1898 Rhee was arrested and imprisoned until 1904 for taking part in a protest against the Korean Monarchy. On his release he went to the United States, When Rhee was released he traveled to the United States and went to Princeton University. Where in 1910 he received a Ph.D. becoming the first Korean to earn a doctor's degree from an American university.
Even to this day, 9/11 is one of the most respected days in our lives. On the date of September 20, 2001, former President George W. Bush took the podium to address the tragedy. It all started off in a melancholy tone, but he also sounded extremely determined. He did the best that he could that those lives were not forgotten. The four factors that greatly influenced Malcolm X to become a successful activist were his family life, growing up and living in an urban ghetto environment, prison, and his religion. The horrific events of Malcolm’s childhood would have led anyone else to a depression and a downfall. However, these events sparked his reasoning for becoming a successful activist. When Malcolm Little was in the womb, members of the Ku Klux Klan broke all the windows in his family’s home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Upon completing his primary education, he would go on to receive his bachelor’s degree in English and Philosophy from Wesleyan University in 1953 and later his law degree from New York University in 1956, both with honors. Armed with his legal education, he initially intended to pursue a career in law by starting his own firm. Kelleher married Joan Negley in 1955 and together they have four children.
