My patient is Lester Burnum, he is a 42 year old male that has been married to his wife Carolyn for twenty years and has a 16 year old daughter named Jane. In the last twenty years of his life Lester’s attitude and personality has changed due to the stress and unhappiness of his job, marriage, and relationship with his daughter. During my evaluation of Lester I discovered that he is suffering from depression, very low self esteem, loss of drive, lack in communication skills with his family, drug abuse, desire to be wanted, increased sexual arousal, temper tanturms, mood swings, and alcohol abuse. As a result of Lester symptoms I discovered the he suffers form some symptoms of each one of these six disorders; Undifferentiated disorder, Major Depression, Depressive disorders, Dysthymic Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Boderline Personality Disorder. The symptoms to these Disorders are as follows: Undifferentiated disorder- a disorder marked by sensory impaired thinking, emotion, and behaviors. Major depression- is a disorder resulting from extreme physical o psychological trauma and is characterized by increased physical arousal associated with anxiety. Depressive disorders- is a less invasive and incapacitating form of depression. Bipolar disorder- is a disorder characterized by the following symptoms, manic episodes and major depression. Borderline personality disorder- is a disorder characterized by the following symptoms, chronic instability in emotions, self image, and relationships, unpredictable mood swings, angry and sarcastic outburst, feelings of abandonment, sees self and others as absolutely perfect or worthless, ecstatic or miserable, self destruction such as alcohol and drug abuse, and depression or eating disorders.
