The Gamblers Fallacy exists not only in coin tosses, but in the real world of gambling, when a person has had a rough bout with a hand of cards that their “luck” will turn around and the cards will start being dealt in that persons favor. The main purpose of this article is to determine whether or not individuals with strong cognitive abilities fall for the Gamblers Fallacy when introduced to a gambling type atmosphere. Decision making is an important role when figuring out patterns, then subjects use strategies to use in context in order to guess correctly, thus implementing the Gamblers Fallacy strategy (Xue, et al., 2012). What is expected of course is that individuals with strong cognitive abilities will be able to recognize these patterns and avoid such pit falls like the Gamblers Fallacy. The hypothesis of this article is to test if the Gamblers Fallacy is associated with weak affective decision making.
People see thug culture on television and in video games every day which makes it more of a norm in society when it is really not. Hollywood movies and the media’s depiction of gangster make criminal behavior more acceptable and corrupt the minds of youth. Some people may think Hollywood movies, and the media’s constant display of gangster does not hurt anyone and it is just for show. People will not think criminal behavior is more acceptable because of music, movies, and video games because it is not real. Individuals understand that in those forms of entertainment, it is all for show and no one actually gets in trouble or even hurt.

Liberal thinking tends to accept having a partner does not constitute that we have to partake in marriage, but instead collect multiple partners and select who is the right one for them. The actions in the videogame may induce violent behavior, but why does it matter if they are too busy playing the videogame to act upon these impulses? They also keep the “violent” people off the streets, not allowing them to commit the crimes they do in video games. On the other hand, videogames can cause violence due to their addictive quality. Overall, they can create a sense of belief in the reality they present, due to the crimes associated through videogame violence. Videogames, especially violent ones, can relieve stress from a long day at school or work.
The gambling assessment had very low scores for me because ive never really gambled before so my results were very accurate. The questions were created well in order to try and find out if people have an issue with gambling. Not being a gambler myself I do know people who have had a problem with it and ive seen how it can affect peoples life in a very negative way and know that it is important to get help when dealing with this kind of addiction. The shopping assesment reveled that I am at the borderline of having a shopping problem. I however disagree because I know how to manage my money and spend wisely and know I do not have a problem in this area.
