Taking into account the opinions of others and listeneing properly to their input will encourage a healthy team and also give the person involved control of whos and what input they would like in their support. Features of effective team performance, are having the team interacting and empowering each other through discussion and suggestion, this enables the team through meetings and every day events to put ideas forward and develop them to see what works and what does not, as some people believe that they way they do things is the only way which is not the case. There are several challenges’ that can form between developing and established teams, as everyone has their strengths but with that comes some allowable weakness. When these are identified it is my job to nurture strengths and set goals to overcome any weaknesses I do this through observation, meetings, supervision and appraisals. Also through ongoing course work to keep up to date with legislation and any changes to legislation to comply with CQC 3.

Unit 204 Outcome 4.1 Explain how the likelihood of abuse may be reduced by; * Working with person centred values A person centred approach is counting and treating everyone with respect. Allowing individuals to make their own choices and decisions, respecting their views will gain their self esteem and will help them recognise their own rights and values which will protect them from being abused. It can also help create relationships between staff and residents so they gain somebody to confide in. * Encouraging active participation This promotes inclusion, making an individual feel some self-worth. Will promote confidence and will also help gain friendships.
Volunteering in schools, neighborhoods, and the local festival help bring unity to the community. This gives its residents an opportunity to spend time together and be responsible for the livelihood of one another. This coming together of the residents with common goals helps the community thrive as a whole which benefits its future success. Investing monetarily is also a part of giving back to help the community. This helps to support those who are less fortunate and give to causes that need a solution or cure.
Residents and employees make it known that the help being offered is one of the most importance. The community of which the facility sits also sees the benefits of having this reentry program. Looking at where the program started and where it is now proves that it is something that is important to society. The second chance which is given to these men and woman which take residency at VOA, gives them a learning experience and a chance at rehabilitation. With the continued support from the government and its departments the future of VOA is one that can be seen as a positive one.
To see these benefits, the focus needs to remain on benefiting the community at large and meeting the needs of each individual location. Crime can be reduced within the store by helping provide for the community and offering opportunities to help people work their way off the streets. Consumer spending can be increased by meeting the demands of the area while helping those who cannot afford to spend money on the goods the company sells. Any company would be wise to remember that quite often it is the poor who succeed later in life and become a company’s biggest investors. A focus on those in need is something that helps a company’s reputation for years to come, boosting profits in both the poorest neighborhoods and the wealthiest.

These individuals who engages in clear and helpful communications becomes trusted, liked and respected, thus effectively benefiting the organization they also benefit their own careers. Communication is the lifeblood in organization in that without communication the organization cannot function, e.g. as blood flows through the body for a person to remain alive so does organization need communication to remain functioning.
