Children are hindered by these kinds of schools, teachers and peers lay a big role in the children’s lives. Some teachers are there for the income it will bring into their house hold and not the well-being of the child and students are pressued by their peers into thinking that education is lame and for losers. In most cases this is what children of low income go through but not all. Many may not realize that the surroundings of children may sometimes affect their future. Being raised in a low income area surrounded by people living the same lifestyle as you as if struggling is the norm of society.
What does the statement, “Students not only care what you know, but want to know you care” mean to you? This statement to me means, that there are students who not only seek for a teacher with knowledge, but a teacher who will appreciate them as a student, and encourage them to succeed. This is because many students are discouraged by those teachers who are in a classroom because it is their job rather than their passion. Everyday I encounter different students with different personalities, but through my experience with children, I have learned that, the most common students are those who are in need of a caring hand and support. For example, I once worked with a group of fifth graders who were all very well behaved, but there was one boy
If parents take much time at work for example the time spent by Chris in Iraq, their children may end up being poor performers in school which will impact negatively on their lives in the future. So they need to be able to attend to their work and to children too because they need support both in education and in the social perspective of growth. Parents are important because they take a large part in their children growth in the sense that they teach them most of the things about life. In socialisation process of life in which individuals are taught about, customs, culture, and beliefs, parents are the main contributors of ensuring their children are aware of those matters. It is because they are the close parties to them, and it is also their mandate to ensure culture is
Where I come from people who are in poverty are on welfare and they seem to work the system just so they do not have to work, but now after watching the video it has definitely opened up my eyes to what is really going on. Most people can’t help their situation especially where I am from because there are not many jobs available. Now I do understand that they have the choice to finish school or maybe no depending on their family situation. But if they are not able at the time they should at least go get their GED. Sometimes even having that may not get you a good enough job to provide for your family.
Children in their early years may have a range of needs and the way that we work together as practitioners can have a positive impact on their health, development and learning. For example, a teacher may have noticed that one of the young children in the class may not respond sometimes when their name is called and they sometimes do not do their work but when they are shown what to do they carry out their work perfectly. The teacher suspects that the child may have difficulty hearing but without the help of a medical professional she would not be able to check the child’s hearing and try and find an outcome helpful to the needs of the child and vice versa. If the teacher did not pass on information to the medical representative they would not be aware of any problems. Therefore just even two agencies working together and sharing information can have a positive outcome.
(Williams.) Sometimes the answers were not perfectly correct but as long as you followed the proper steps to get there, you were on the right track. We were educated to do what we were told and to study from what was being taught. Even though some middle class schools do not have all the equipment to give a well maintain grounding in what profession they may be instructing, does not persuade the fact that the professor does not give 100%. As well as the professors, the parents are a huge success in the children’s success in an institution.
Education is a very important resource to anyone who wants to succeed in life. Unfortunately, there are some students who do not take education seriously. They go to the school just to make friends, to not be at home to help with the chores or just because their parents are obligating them to complete this phase of their life otherwise, they rather to be doing something else. But, they don’t see that with an education their life can change for the better. However, as there are such students, there are also those students who want to overcome and be someone important, especially if they are in a foreign country.
Jenny Graves: I love being able to help the younger generations learn and to guide them to be the very best they can be in life. After all they are our future and without us to guide them then the future does not look too promising. Cynthia Moore: What made you choose a career in early childhood education? Jenny Graves: The lack of dedication among the teacher’s I had growing up. To them it was just another job and I wanted more for those learning.
It is not that they demand too much from their kids but they expect too little. Parents try so hard to provide their children’s needs to make them happy and become their kid’s best friend that they forget about being a real parent. A parent who knows what is best for their child should not be afraid to say “no”, “The mistake that many parents make today is not that they’re too strict but rather too lenient”. They should discipline and set limits to consumption and teach their children the value of a
For example parents of children with disabilities cannot take for granted that their child will be educated at their local school and many will have to fight for this if this is what they want. Despite the fact that there is greater acceptance of the idea of inclusion, there are not always the supports in place, or teacher willingness and ability, to make it work. Current cuts to special education funding pose a threat to the
