Unit 1: Exploring Business Activity M1 (Assignment 1) Oxfam Stakeholders Aim of organization Influence Point of view Owners To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. The owners have a large influence on this aim. In their view, if they get all their staff to achieve this aim then they are giving a good name for Oxfam and will receive further donations and funding. Shareholders To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. Their influence is not a lot on this aim. They need to get everyone they know, or even themselves to achieve this aim in order for their shares to increase in value. Managers To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. Managers have a significant influence on this aim. The managers need to try and co-ordinate their staff and achieve this aim because they may get a promotion. Employees To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. Employees of Oxfam don’t have that much influence on this aim. They need to be pro active in projects in order to achieve either a promotion but most importantly complete the aim of the organization that they volunteered to work for. Customers To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. The customers have little impact on the aim. If the customers believe in Oxfam’s aim then they will want to purchase products from their store or just donate money. This way they gain products and are helping out at the same time. Suppliers To work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. The suppliers also have little influence on this aim. The suppliers aren’t part of the Oxfam organization and are profit orientated therefore they will want as many projects to happen for Oxfam as possible in order to sell and supply more resources.
