Cora Pouncey English 101-07 Mrs. Davis 29 July 2013 Outstanding Vacation Spot The Savannah Riverfront, in Savannah, Georgia, is a pleasant vacation spot. The drive is only about three hours away from where I live. The reason I selected this vacation spot is because of its Five Star Hotels, beautiful river, and superb seafood. The riverfront is an oasis of rest, relaxation, and enjoyment. The luxurious hotels, the scrumptious seafood, and the beautiful river of this historical landmark is breathtaking. During the drive, I thought about the incredible exciting things that I would like. It was late in the night when I arrived at The Westin Savannah Harbor Hotel. The scenery of the hotel was fantastic. It sat along the shore of the riverfront. The outside lighting of the hotel was beautiful. The light rays shined onto the river which made it illuminate, creating spectacular scenery. The lobby of the hotel was extravagant. It was a warm soft creamy yellowish color, and the crown molding was high gloss white, which created a beautiful luxurious décor. The entire staff was friendly and polished, providing top notch service at all times. They made me feel exceptional. The room was excellent. It was a camel color; the drapes were gray with a white shield, and the furniture was chocolate with a touch of sage within the fabric. It was also spacious. The bed had a beautiful white downs comforter set. The pillows were also downs. This was the softest, fluffiest, most comfortable bed ever. The bed was so gratifying that I could have slept all day. The Savannah River is the longest and largest waterway between Georgia and South Carolina. It runs between the Hotels and River Street, otherwise known as the Riverfront.
