Ferderalism divides the power of government based on territory. It is important to our government because it allows people living in different states with different needs and interests to set policies to their state, and they still can all come together as a nation with other states. States has different resources, population, interests, needs, etc. They also set up different kinds of laws in each state. So this means that states are governing themselves in one nation.
It also means that generally we are governed by one party, which increases stability; for example, since 1900 there have only been three coalition governments in power. This also means we are represented by one set of policies rather than two different sets. However, the first-past-the-post system can be seen to distort the results, as the government in power will almost never have the majority of votes. For example, in the 2005 election Labour had 35.2% of the votes and they still won, because they had more seats than the other parties. Furthermore, the actual turnout was only 61.4%, so they were only representing around a third of the population.
Below are basic constitutional concepts: 1. Federalism: the constitution created the federal government. The federal government and the 50 states governments share powers in this country. 2. Delegated Powers: when the states ratified the constitution, they delegated certain powers to the federal government.
However, there are also informal powers which make Prime Minister much more important than their ‘constitutional’ role suggests. The Prime Minister has three important relationships: the cabinet, individual ministers and government departments, the Prime Minister’s party and, through it with Parliament and the people often through the mass media. These relationships explain how Prime Minsters can influence the government but also explains why the influence is provisional and subject to constraints. The Prime Minister does dominate the political system in the U.K as they chair the Cabinet where they can organise and make appointments to Cabinet committees. The Prime Minister can determine the number of cabinet meetings.

It has responsibility for “checking the work of government and examining, debating and approving new laws.” Judicial level of Government – “judicial is a system of courts that interprets and applies the law in the names of the country” the judicial should get involved with the other parts of the government because it’s important to the certain amount of power which the other part of the government has. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of the roles of the following offices; Prime Minister- has 3 major roles; one is to be a leader for this nation, to be head of government and a party leader. Republican gains during redistricting were largely because vulnerable Republican incumbents received safer districts. Redistricting safeguarded at least eight Republican incumbents who would have otherwise lost re-election in 2012. “Controlling the redistricting process in these states would have the greatest impact on determining how both state legislative and congressional district boundaries would be drawn.” The report credits gerrymandered maps in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin with allowing Republicans to overcome a 1.1 million popular-vote deficit. . In Ohio, for instance, Republicans won 12 out of 16 House races “despite voters casting only 52 percent of their vote for Republican congressional candidates.
Black unemployment has risen to fifteen percent and the national unemployment eight percent. Republicans do not lead the humanitarian approach and are known to be the "White man's party", having ninety percent primers vote for Mitt Romney in the 2012 election. With all the tension on race the focus of other groups and age are veered. Eighty percent of the senior citizen class are caucasian. For some reason they are taxed so other children may go to school and build new play grounds or assist in the welfare payments Obama so graciously
Plano tends to have one of the highest median incomes of any city in the United States along with a population of 200,000. Yet people tend to stand oblivious to the reality of the low class people. Plano houses many families in deep financial need. A lost job can easily move a family from an extravagant lifestyle to the streets in a flash. There are, however, benefits people can reap through this crisis.
