Nowadays most people who live in urban areas must have cell phones. Having a cell phone is no longer a trendy thing but an indispensable daily means of communication. The innovation of the cell phone to our society has changed the ways of communication and even the social forms tremendously. Can you imagine living without a cell phone now? You might think it is impossible, right? Actually the invention of the mobile phone is only a few decades old. If you go and ask your grandparents, they will tell you how life was without a cell phone. In the eras without cell phones, people used to use telecom or cable-line phone to call each other. There were some restrictions on that communication. To begin with, a cable-line system is not available everywhere. Therefore, even if people have money to pay for the cost of the set-up of the cable-line system and calling fees, they cannot receive the service. Furthermore, the cable-line phones limit your mobility. This is a big inconvenience since it can solely be utilised indoors. Fortunately, scientists developed the mobile phone. Now we can enjoy ever-convenient and instant long-distance communication by using our cell phones. We don’t need to find a telephone or a telecom. We don’t need to stay in the same spot. What’s more, we can make a call even if we are in forest. What a convenience! Did you ever call someone’s home number but he/she was not at home? I’m sure everyone had this experience before. Thanks to cell phone, we can find someone no matter where he/she goes. For instance, parents can always find their children and make sure that they are safe. Businessperson can always easily make calls to his partners or clients in every part of the world. But could we do this before? The answer is plainly: no!
