News May 05, 2011 THE DEATH OF OSAMA BIN LADEN EFFECTING EVERYONE? By: Kawenvir Singh As Americans learned the death of Osama Bin Laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda, the streets of America had begun to flutter with celebration. The US Special Forces had been the ones who shot Bin laden. They had a lead from a courier in Pakistan that distinguished where Osama Bin Laden was hidden. A few of the Pakistan Citizens felt threatened and notified the US Special Forces right away that also knew. As they searched for him and found the compound where Bin laden was hiding, Barrack Obama did not want to spread the news until he was certain Bin Laden was deceased. They had made an operation in a week to get into the compound and kill Bin laden. The operation took approximately forty minutes. After Bin Laden was shot, the US Special Forces then proceeded to bury his body at sea. PresidentObama made a speech instantaneously after the operation, as he said “I can report to the American people and the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama Bin laden, the leader of Al-Qaeda and a terrorist who is responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children”. No doubt that Al-Qaeda will take action because their leader has just been killed. People of Pakistan and America are now more afraid because the war is not over, it has just begun. In addition, we Canadians are also worried we could be in danger because our troops had been sent there as well. People believe this is nothing to celebrate, even if it’s a death of a murderous man. Now that the Americans, Pakistan Citizens and Canadians are afraid, they are doing whatever it takes in order to remain safe. To be
