Lazy Lawrence The story “Lazy Lawrence” is about a young boy, Jem, which lives with his mother and his mother cannot afford the rent. So in order for the rent to get paid, she was going to sell their horse, Lightfoot. Jem does not want this to happen so he takes matters into his own hands. He finds work with a mistress and saves every penny he gets to save his horse. When the day comes to sell the horse, Jem wanted to surprise his mother with the money, but then he realized someone stole all the money that he had saved up.
After losing a lot of their money, she was traveling to the United States and a little peasant girl asked if she can play with Esperanza’s doll which was from her father, when the little girl asked, Esperanza began yelling and saying no to her. Mama said she was sorry, and made the little peasant girl a doll in return. Another person Esperanza is very different from is Miguel. Miguel was Esperanza’s family servant. He and Esperanza were in love with each other but could not marry because of the different classes.
He started seeing white poor kids in the streets when he was running errands for his master. He began asking these kids to teach him how to read by bribing them with bread that he would take from his master’s house. After he learned how to read, he still did not know how to write. When he was twelve, he got an idea from the ship-yard to learn some letters, because he saw that the workers there marked the lumber with letter initials, depending on what part of the ship the lumber belonged to. This way he learned only 6 letters, and the rest he learned from the white kids.
Summary Diagnosing the problem In "Diagnosing the problem" by Joel Alonzo the main idea is everyone feels homesick after they moved out from their family and go to college far away from home, especially first year at the college. At first in the story, Joel just applied to the University as a joke and he didn't think much. Then he had been accepted to the college. After received that news he didn't want to go to the college because he didn't want to leave home. But the day he go to the college came, while his mom drive him to the college he started crying and his mom tried to cheer him up.
Araceli was a maid for Scott and Maureen Torres-Thompson. After Scott and Maureen had a fight they both left the house leaving Araceli with their two boys. Araceli spent time looking for someone she could give the boys to until their parents returned. Araceli stated, “Of all these people, old man Torres was the only adult still alive and likely to live in a place reachable from Paso Linda Bonita” (147). Being gone for a few days the parents left Araceli with no other choice than to go and find the children’s grandfather.
In “The Love of My Life,” the baby symbolizes their love and life. The whole time she’s pregnant Jeremy says “You‘ve got to get rid of it.” (384) China doesn’t want anyone to know so she never sees a doctor, or gets any help. And when she has her baby, all she says is “Get rid of it, just get rid of it”(387) They don’t realize it at the time, but when they ‘throw the baby away’ they are throwing their lives away. They think they are doing the right thing at the time, but when everything catches up with them its too late. They don’t have each other, they don’t have love, and they don’t have their lives they were trying to keep.
Ethan told her not to panic because he said she might not be pregnant. Pattyn had never taken a class for protecting herself but she knew that she should panic. When Pattyn went home, she noticed that she hadn’t got her menstrual cycle for about seven weeks. So she went to the store to purchase a pregnancy test. When she got home she took the test and it said
Beneatha is his sister and Travis is his son. During the play Walter and his sister Beneatha do not see eye to eye with their thoughts on the way the rest of the insurance money should be spent, they are getting insurance money because there father died. During the play Mama makes a decision to put a down payment on a house in an all-white neighborhood which is unheard of during this time. But there is money left after she does this and the family discusses what should be done with it. Walter wants it so he could become owner of a Liquor store, whereas Beneatha wants to go to go school to become a doctor.
After few weeks of school one of my friends helped me to get part time job. So I started getting money. Because of lack of transportation I was walking every day to work and walking back at late night. That time was my struggling time. After fourth month my parents and me rented apartment.

Shawna and Ray started to argue because she had set up an appointment with a client during the time she was supposed to watch the kids while ray worked on grading papers before heading out to his mothers birthday party. He told her that she better call and reschedule the appointment and that she always puts her career before the family.
