Organizational Structure of: CBS Outdoor The company, CBS Outdoor, is an outdoor advertising vendor that sells it’s out of home (OOH) inventory to advertisers, agencies and anyone who wants’ to advertise where drivers, pedestrians and riders are. CBS Outdoor has a quantity of quality out of home inventory such as billboards (Bulletins and Posters), bus advertising, mall advertising, tall walls, subway station’s, rail cars, and street furniture. Billboards have been present in the United States since the turn of the 20th century though it is the most cost effective against television advertising, radio advertising and newspaper advertising. The billboard industry is one of the oldest advertising medium (2nd to newspaper) yet is the most powerful form of advertising reaching the most people with a low cost per thousand. CBS Outdoor is considered a “Customer and Geographic Division” (Bateman & Snell, 291), because the corporations presence are in major and medium sized markets (cities) across the United States, Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Puerto Rico, France, The Netherlands, Ireland, Italy, Spain, China and The United Kingdom which are able to service most advertising agencies, advertisers and clients in order to advertise in a global presence. CBS Outdoor is under the CBS Corporation umbrella which CBS Corporation is under National Amusements that is owned by Sumner Redstone. After evaluating CBS Outdoor and its parent, CBS Corporation, it is considered that CBS Corporation is a Divisional Organization. It’s a divisional organization because CBS Corporation has many divisions offering different products and services to the masses. These divisions are, CBS, CBS Interactive, CBS Outdoor, CBS Radio, CBS Records, CBS Sports Network, CBS Television Distribution, CBS Television Studios, Showtime Networks, Simon & Schuster, The CW
