I want to be a positive role model to all the young children in our community, and show them that if you set your mind to do it you can achieve anything with hard work and dedication. I also feel this way about being a cheerleader. I feel that a Captain should lead with their heart, not their mouth. I have a vision for my team and we will work together to achieve it. Each year I set goals for myself, and work diligently toward making them become possible.

“Bridge Builders seeks to develop among high school students a group of future leaders who can lay aside individual and cultural differences and work for the benefit of all.” This is the mission statement for Bridge Builders which is a program that I participated in my junior year of high school, and now actively involved with my senior year. The program, without a doubt, lives up to its mission statement. During the program we participated in leadership, personal, and team building activities. The program’s methods taught me how to be a great leader in any situation, whether I was leading myself or a group. I also made life-long friendships, and I am still meeting new people at our meetings that we have during the school year.

From this, my students will be able to express their individuality and I can help them develop this. I want my student athletes to be unique and, with that in mind, possess unique skills as it pertains to sports. I believe that if student athletes possess a firm understanding of who they are as individuals and what they are capable of, and then they can truly develop their individual style(s) of play. This in turn can help lead to team unity and can establish a team spirit within all the student athletes that can lead to camaraderie and ultimately, success. It is our job as educators and coaches to help develop our student athletes not only physically, but mentally as well; promoting uniqueness, along with individuality, can help in this developmental
It encourages children to learn at their own level that they feel comfortable and confident with, therefore enhancing the opportunity for developing many social and intellectual skills. Skinner Skinners theories are used widely in practices as we praise children for positive behavior or for performing an action correctly, Skinners theory on negative behavior was putting a child on timeout. 1.2 Explain the potential impact on service provision of different theories and approaches I feel that we use a bit of all these theories and approaches in our setting. The children use their own choice and freedom to develop their own play. As each child starts in our setting, their parents fill in a portfolio, which helps our staff learn their likes and dislikes and their favorite toy, song and story.
Unit 136 Support Children’s learning and development in the early years 1.1 Understand the impact of early year’s curriculum models on the application of theoretical perspectives of children’s care, learning and development. Every child deserves the best possible start in life and the support that enables them to fulfil their potential. Children develop quickly in the early years and a child’s experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. A secure, safe and happy childhood is important in its own right. Good parenting and high quality early learning together provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
