There is an emphasis on factual and numerical reporting on which we make decisions about how our company will be run. This is a seriously flawed method of management in that there is a complete lack of thought to the psychological impact of their decisions and management of the organization. The lack of empathy is palatable in the room during these meetings. My failure to elicit empathy for others and myself in the group creates a huge challenge for me. In order to more effectively contribute to the organization, I would like to spend some time researching techniques to connect on an emotional level with the team.
Crooks does not associate with many people which causes him not to have many friends. He is also a hard worker,as soon as he finishes he goes to his bunk and stays quite till the day is over. Crooks does not even try to get alone with anyone because he feels excluded from all the other men on the ranch. He got the name " Crooks" by an accident when a horse kick him in the back. Crooks personality makes him not have any friends, he is not the type of person who would want friends.

The following issues I have identified are: Staff training and Procedures There is currently no training taking place within the store as it is seen as a waste of money. This is causing low staff moral and is showing in staff attitudes. The procedures booklet issued by head office is almost redundant and is unused by the store. Structure of Staffing The business seems to be top heavy with little or no respect for night Managers. It seems though the manager and assistant are not seeing the business as a whole by not working different shift patterns.
He lacked moral development because he had a warped sense of right and wrong. He felt like getting his way was what was right. It did not matter that he had to be violent. He lacked social development because he never was able to interact with other people. He was a loner and incapable of making friends .
