This is because it prioritises me to set my tasks from important to less important. Meaning, the less important tasks can be done when it’s quiet in the workplace or at a later date and the more important tasks would be either labelled urgent or done directly. This will ensure that each task will be done more efficiently and to the standard required by me. 1.1– A working relationship is where you are placed with other people and work as part of team where each individual is working following professional codes of conduct, towards shared goals. You work a set procedure and have a role in what you do. Time limits and boundaries apply and you do not have to like the people you work with but need to keep personal opinions and feelings to yourself. Mutual respect and understanding is a key factor in developing a good working relationship. A working relationship must be kept professional and formal.
An outline of what is meant by ‘agreed ways of working’. The term ‘agreed ways of working’ relates to the way an employee must work and the rules that they must adhere to. As an employee you should work in a way that is clearly set out in the job description – this will then mean that you know what areas of care you would be responsible for and those that should be reported to a higher member of staff etc. Bii) Limits of role There are limits of this role as this has to ensure safety of clients as well as members of staff. The team would involve a manager who would need to set out specific tasks or a group of tasks. Formal teams usually have rules and a clear expectation about the parts each team member plays. This team would be suitable because it allows everyone in the team to use their skills and qualifications to their best ability. Then you have the informal team, an informal team has less structure. Even though it is similar to a formal team there are some differences.
While in the work place I often experience many challenges, by taking a step back and evaluating the situation, my actions and experience I can make informed choices that can help me to perform in a caring productive way. When taking part in reflective practice you have to be open, honest, and non defensive, you have to think that by doing something different is not the same as doing something better. You need to ask yourself questions such as, how did I work? , Did I use my knowledge of the service user in the decision-making? , Were personal values involved?
