Communication through the mouth is called “Oral Communication”. Conversing amongst each other is an example of oral communication another way to communicate is be direct conversation or telephonic conversation. Speeches, presentations, discussions are all examples of communicating by mouth. Generally it is recommended when other communication cant be used or where a direct interaction is required. Oral communication is used in many things such as doctors surgeries, hospitals, old peoples homes and even home visits. Doctors need to tell there patience about their illness and what medications they could should take so communication with the patient is important. Care workers need to make sure oral communication is used a lot to just to explain about medicine or anything other things to calm,comfort patients. People in the health profession need to keep information through oral communication it is very important because it helps to decide what is wrong with patient. For example if a patient has gone to their doctor and explained their symptoms the doctor or nurse would be able to work out specific treatments for the patient. The information given will show what need to be done to make the patient better. Exchanging ideas in care settings are also important. Especially for new patience helping them settle in is important not only patients but newly trained staff as they may not be aware of how to treat an illness. Other staff can help by putting across their ideas and experience through oral communication. There are many advantages to oral communication. In oral communication there is high level of clear understanding. Oral communication is not only time saving, but it also money and efforts saving. Oral communication is best in case of problem resolution. The conflicts, disputes and many issues/differences can be put to an end by talking them over. Oral
