Online Therapy Website Review Jessica Duer University of Phoenix Professor Swales July 2, 2011 No matter what a person’s reason for searching for an online therapy site, everyone wants the same results. These results include dealing with a legitimate professional who knows what they are doing, to be treated fair and have their rights protected and to get the help they set out to find solutions for. To some, the internet may be a scary place to even think about talking to someone about their private issues, thoughts and problems. Usually, the person searching for online therapy has a difficult time opening up to anyone, let alone a stranger, so turning to an online source may be the more discreet option and it keeps one anonymous.…show more content…
ONLINE THERAPY- This tab he goes over both the advantages and disadvantages of using online therapy and he also goes over why this might now work for everyone and suggest other therapy that might be more helpful. He is very upfront and honest, which again, helps put a perspective client at ease. 5. He explains the laws relevant to his state of Maryland and why it is necessary. 7. BEGIN THERAPY-On this tab, you will be able to see if his available for that week and offers a form to be filled out for future assistance. It also gives Mr. Benedict a better idea of what the person is looking for and if online therapy is right for them. 8. MY OFFICE-When you have an appointment, you will click on this tab and scroll down to the picture of his office and that will take you into the chat therapy room. 9. Any time a person is dealing with a stranger over the internet runs risks and isn’t always easy for a person to warm up to. This is especially true for those who have no or very little computer skills and not familiar with the way the internet works.
