Returning at a store is faster because all it takes is a drive to the store and going through their return procedure as opposed to waiting for your returned item to ship and for the appropriate department to process the return and credit your account or credit card. Though there are often size charts and detailed product descriptions online nothing compares with being able to feel and check out the product for yourself. It is nice to have the option of trying on clothing or accessories and seeing how they look on your body or face shape. It is even nice to feel the materials of non clothing items such as furniture or other household items. I for one do not like to return anything if possible and trying something out before I buy is one way I eliminate that problem.
Then again, none of that matters when you know that the item you needed for that special someone has sold out. That aside, shopping at the mall can give you the comfort of knowing that you have inspected the quality of the item you're purchasing in person before taking it home. Much like myself, not everybody can handle waking up before four a.m. to stand in a line for hours. That's where the internet comes in. Not only can you sleep in and avoid long lines, you can keep your sanity through internet based shopping.
Memo To: Laura M. Smith From: Lakia M. Hairston CC: Date: November 2, 2009 Re: Ethical, Legal and Regulatory Differences Today, the popularity of the internet has been the foundation of new business, e-business. Just about anything can be done online now. Many people are reverting from shopping in stores of malls because of the convenience of the internet. You can do anything from balancing your check book, to ordering pizza online today, which is making the internet a big part of most peoples lives around the world. Businesses are making transactions with other businesses online eliminating extra time and wasted money.
Advantages of ecommerce Having a business open 24/7 I have been asked the discus in detail the impacts and negative impacts of an e-commerce business; I am going to first discus the impacts of an e-commerce business running 24/7. There are many impacts with having an 24/7 e-commerce online business, I first looked at the website tokokoo.com (online) that it mention that the advantage of it being opened 24/7 is that people all over the world can purchase what the e-commerce website is selling, this impacts your business as all parts of the world we be buying your products and services at all times ‘Even while you’re sleeping, your customers can visit your store and browse your products and place their orders’. Another advantage of it being opened 24/7 is that you can purchase items/services anytime you want this is a good impact new targets markets can be made which is for the people who work long hour days which means they are too busy in the day because there working which means they do not have time for shopping in the day, this impacts your business and achieves more customers which means you will sell more. Includes that customers will be satisfied as they can purchase items from their own home. A disadvantage of having a 24/7 business is that you will have to pay more for staff to keep this e-commerce business operated at all times, people who would be operating the website are not on a normal wage like a shelf stacker it is far more.
The internet has three main advantages compared with traditional retail outfits- these are: 1. Convenience- shopping online saves time including travel time, the cost of the park charges and the hassle of standing in the queue at the checkout. 2. Choice – have the ability to access to a massive range of products and services from all over the world, this can be gained through using the internet for shopping. This is the by the far the biggest advantage over the internet.
Paragraph1- In “Attention Shoppers: Your Dreams in Aisle 3,” Sharon Zukin points out that fact that there is so much ease in the way that shopping is done these days. We can shop any time of day or night, anywhere even if we don’t have a lot of money. She states that most critics blame us for buying stuff that we do not need, calling it “Affluenza,” and that the more money we have, the more we spend. Zukin also says that market researchers and mangers will try to identify what kind of things we buy as well as our spouses, brothers, parents, and even our pets and sell it to us. Finally, Zukin argues that whether study consumer guides or push wire carts from a warehouse club to mall, we’re searching for our dreams and we cannot be blamed if we find them in stores.
Search engines are the driving source for online shopping. When consumers can type in a name of a product and click search hundreds of stores come up with pricing of the product. People like choices, and would rather search through the web for the best product and pricing. Associability plays key role in the success of companies. Companies have to pay a huge price to have their store front at the top of the search list.
Among the many benefits to Kitchen Karousel, this solution offers reliability and ease of use. The premise is that Kitchen Karousel requires more than just getting a customer through the basics of the checkout process. Kitchen Karousel is investing a considerable amount of time, effort and money to find a customer so when the customer is ready to make their purchase, it's critical that Kitchen Karousel has a system that encourages the customer to buy more products instead of expediting them out of the sales funnel. Premium Web Cart offers a multitude of built in techniques that can be implemented. Once the customer comes to the website, they can browse through the specialty products until they find the product(s) that they are interested in purchasing.
Having an online website is great advantage as It allows customers to shop at all hours and have access to purchase all products. If for example you go into to buy a product and it is out of stock you have the option to go online and still get what you need. Additionally, the option to shop online addresses the various different customer demographics, such as individuals who are disabled, as online shopping could make shopping for groceries and other necessities a lot easier for such individuals. Therefore it is evident that technological factors have increased customer satisfaction by providing customers with an alternate shopping method. The stores can be affected in either a good or bad way by Technological factors.
We are living in a world in which we are increasing relying on computers, and information technology to make our lives better and more efficient. For example, in the past we use to shop in stores, however now-a-days we can do our shopping on sites such as Amazon and eBay, and pay through PayPal. But how secure are these websites, applications, or severs? To answer this question, there are organizations that do nothing but try to hack these, and other, applications. Another example, in the early 2000s there were numerous reports of companies engaging in fraudulent activities.
