Online learning compared to traditional learning Over the past two decades the dynamics of technology and its uses has made a serious impact on the lifestyle of this generation. The evolution of television, laptops, desktops, Ipads, cell phones, conference calls, education, health systems, water systems and so on are very dependent upon the development of technology. Education centers are also becoming more dependent on technology and so there is a gradual change from traditional learning centers to virtual learning centers. In today’s modern world, great emphasis is being placed on education, without the required qualifications, one is unable to get a job and provide for his needs. As a result people are more interested in obtaining higher education. There is no age limit to students. The education demands require that more and more people have to improve their qualifications and skills while on the job. Therefore, people are leaning towards online learning rather than traditional learning, in a school environment since they have to provide for themselves and family while obtaining a higher level of education. An online education affords the student many unique benefits like flexibility, convenience, and accessibility while providing the same quality of information to students. In both educational settings there are, Registrars for admissions, lecturers, bursars, secretaries, and guidance counselors; material is provided for courses, tuition is paid; there is a grading system etc. Students participate in lectures, class discussions, information sharing, work is distributed and assignments are done; deadlines are given. There is a set protocol for the submission of assignments according to the university’s standards.
