Project 1 Explain how, when working, you would find out what was expected of you and what work standards would be expected of you. How would this knowledge impact on the ways in which you organise your time and manage your work tasks? When working in a workplace I would firstly be expected to find out what the relevant industry standards are and what the organisational goals are within their workplace. I would find out what was expected from the job description that has been assigned to me and a thorough explanation on the job description so that both my employee and I are clear on what is expected by me. Also having a clear understanding of customer expectations and values is essential, as they are important to meet the demands and thus assists the organisation in achieving their personal goals.

In relation to other companies, her company is a small one and therefore does not have specific contract administrators. The people in the company’s ‘home office’ all do multiple jobs and hold multiple job responsibilities and their primary focus is not the contracts that are basically kept similar for everything. In the case of Othello’s company developing a contract administration plan has taken his company to the next level. The last course he took was human capital management and ironically this was the major issue his company was dealing with. Many of the employees at the company are independent contractors who have their own companies.
For instance if the employee is having problems with the sales aspect of the company, there will be a mini training session for techniques for improving sales. I never really thought much about HR departments until after the article "WHY I HATE HR" but its starting to make sense. A person is hired to do a job and they do what they have to do. Doesn't matter how it effects the actual employee or what it does to their family. They are carrying out orders that have been set in place and that is just the way it is. I
It helps to refresh their skills they already have been using and to enlighten new skills and give updated information of the policies and procedures of the facility. This helps the correctional officers to continue doing their job correctly. Not all the position in the field of being a correctional officer are a regular Monday through Friday job. When working in these facilities they never close, not even for holidays. There is always correctional officers always there to supervise the inmates.
