Olympic Value Education Programme for Global Understanding and Promotion of Health and Sports *Dr.(Ms.) Benu Gupta In the globalised sports, is been conducted in various form with the athlete of different races, culture, thoughts and attitude. Still few basics make them common in the playfield through their performance, action-reaction, reflexes, celebrations anxiousness etc. These basics can be co-related with the purpose of conducting sports under the ages of preamble said by the ancestors and the originator of these modern sports. Pierre de Coubertin the so called father of Modern Olympic Games initiated with a vision of put all the countries under common umbrella through sports i.e. GLOBALISATION [pic]and the understanding behind it is the Global Understanding. Besides to propose the modern Olympic he focused values as well; with the advancement of time Olympic Shines like a sun and Olympic Values got dim. It’s a time to understand that on the cost no survive for longer time. OVEP - Olympic Value Education Programme is the need of today’s world scenario. The International Olympic Committee has introduced the OVEP with its five values Joy of Effort, Fair Play, Balance between body will and mind, Respect for others and Pursuit of excellence as the base to conduct / participate / understand / the sport in the sense of true spirit. In today’s world, these values are under great pressure. Youth, the leaders of tomorrow, is the generation that will effectuate the pathway to protect our planet’s natural resources, promote education, take up healthy life style, and contribute to sustainable development. Ultimately, this is something that affects us all because the Olympic Movement of tomorrow is in hands of the young people can learn to respect each other on the field of play, they may transfer this sentiment to other elements of their daily
