Oliver Twist (Movie Review) As young as ten years old, Oliver Twist, named by Mr. Bumble, is opened to an awful living for he was abandoned by his parents. Orphans all around Greenland are sent to the workhouse-orphanage by Mr. Bumble, a fat guard of the place. In there, they scavenge fibers from old ropes which are to be reproduced to new ropes used in ships. They’re not treated properly – giving them food once a day, hurting them physically, and they were used to be apprentices of people who wants/needs hands. In London, he met the Artful Dodger and took him to Fagin. The crazy, old man Fagin and the gang welcomed Oliver and he felt like he was home. But little does he know that they will teach him how to steal like Dodger and the others. When Oliver passed the “thief” test, Fagin allowed him to go out with the others. While Dodger and his friend, Charley are working (stealing), Oliver is amazed. Because of his amazement, he was thought to be the thief. He was brought to a trial by Mr. Brownlow, the victim in the crime. But the bookstore owner told the truth and let them go. Oliver is very tired and weak that he fainted in the court. Mr. Brownlow takes the boy in his home in Pentonville, and adopts him. One day, when Oliver is returning the books to the store,
