Patricia Minor Bible 104 April 22, 2013 In this report I will attempt to give some information on the following books of the Old Testament in the Bible. Exodus, Deuteronomy, Joshua, Proverbs and Daniel. I chose these books because they are some of my favorites. I will attempt to talk about the books in detail to give the readers’ useful information that I hope will be of a blessing to all. Exodus The second book of the Bible is Exodus written by Moses and it is the second book of the Pentateuch. It is a narrative book. Exodus is from a Greek word meaning to go out. Pharaoh knew Israel would be strong then they were if they worked together, so he made sure they worked hard by not supplying them with the needed items. In this book we will read about the birth of Moses and how his mother hid him for 3 months. When Moses mother could not hide him any longer she places him where he could be found by the daughter of Pharaoh. Moses saw a fight between a Hebrew an Egyptian when he saw none else looking he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. Moses fled to the land of Midian. Moses was chosen to lead the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt to the promise land. God allowed plaques to plaque Pharaoh and his people because he didn’t want Israel to leave. Israel came out of the land of Egypt and on the way to the promise land they began to mummer. They wanted meat so God gave them manner mean what is this. They desire the things the thought they had in Egypt and made Moses angry. They got Aaron to make a God of gold for them to worship, while Moses was on the mountain with God. Moses ends up disobeying God because the people of Israel were never satisfied. Deuteronomy Deuteronomy was written by Moses in the form of discourses in the plain of Moab on the eve of their arriving into the
