Procedure First, record the power rating of each of the two resistors. Then find the maximum current that can be used if the maximum voltage is 8V. Next, make a schematic diagram of the 10-ohm resistor used in the experiment. With the power supply turned off, connect the 10-ohm resistor to the power supply and make sure that the ammeter is in series while the voltmeter is in parallel with it. Proceed to have the circuit inspected before moving on with the experiment. After inspection, record the drops in voltage across and the current through the 10-ohm resistor ten times. Make sure to turn off the power supply when finished. Next, after making sure the power supply is turned off, replace the 10-ohm resistor with a 50-ohm resistor. Have the circuit inspected and proceed to repeat the initial experiment done with the 10-ohm resistor. Finally, turn off the power supply and replace the 50-ohm resistor with the automotive lamp supplied. Once the lamp is connected, turn on the power source and repeat the initial experiment. Do not surpass 1.0A and 8.0V at any time whatsoever.
