Obama is fortunate because he has used energetic youth through his word skills, knowledge and relations. Machiavelli states that fortune varies in men, “[He] thinks… Fortune is the mistress of one half our actions, and yet leaves the control of the other half…” (119). Machiavelli believes fortune will not work unless the ruler has spirit of energetic youth. Through Obama’s presidency it’s evident that he has maintained some political strategies similar but not exact to Machiavelli’s ideas. For Obama to be a Machiavellian prince he does not only need power, but it depends on how it’s used through military matters.
Once the donation is under the table, democracy To borrow from Justice Scalia in Doe v. Reed (2010)xviii, “Requiring people to stand up in public for their political acts fosters civic courage, without which democracy is doomed ”. In Doe v. Reed, the Court holds that compelling disclosure requirements do not violate the First Amendment right to freely express. If anything, the future campaign finance should focus on a stricter disclosure requirement. Concluding Remarks The rising cost of federal election is an inevitable trend due to candidates’ increasing reliance on polling to gain public opinions and utilization of various other technology platforms

As Jefferson wrote each eloquent word, its apparent that he was proud of what his fellow Americans had accomplished. Fitting with The Declaration of Independence, I chose Thomas Jefferson as my historical figure. I believe he embodies all that pride is, from his freedom fighting, right down to his appearance. Jefferson, intelligent and elegant, never stopped fighting for the rights that he knew every man had proudly deserved. Thomas Jefferson once said, “Action will delineate and define you.” Pride in your actions, pride in your words, and pride in yourself all make for real success and Thomas Jefferson knew, and lived with that mindset.
He even questions himself when he says “I wonder sometimes how things might have turned out had those ads actually run. Not so much whether I would have won or lost but rather how the voters would have perceived me…” (133) Obama just stated how he cares more about how the people views him rather than his endorsements and rather than him losing or winning. Obama has been very blunt about his passion of serving the people of the United States of America time and time again, and he believes every politician should hold that component lose to their hearts rather than taking these offers from endorsers and expecting “special interest” out of them. This can be prevented in the future if politicians would focus on the big picture of the people and how to better the country and the people rather than their political race. Not only focus and care about the people, like Obama displays, but also for the politicians to change their attitude and views.
Thrust into the real world with our confidence almost permanently shattered, we are expected to be successful and important when prior to that we were always told the opposite. Bullying harms us not only in our youth, but for the rest of our lives. In the poem “To This Day” by Shane Koyczan, we hear the story of children who have faced the effects of being bullied. A little girl for something as foolish as a birthmark on her face and a boy for thinking pork chops and karate chops were the same. Age did not change the words that cut through that poor little girl.

Obama care not only gains support from many people but many people also have huge issues with this policy coming to pass. Although this policy may solve many rising problems, it raises one major one of its own with federalism and it makes many state unhappy with this new policy. This paper will also examine the pros and cons to this debate and evaluate this policy’s effectiveness and if it consists with federalism
One such example comes from his statement on the big government vs. small government issue. Here President Obama stated that “The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works-whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement program that is dignified.” This doesn’t make any since! Barack Obama from the start wants us to believe that we should not be worrying about small government or big government, but should be worrying about a working government, and yet the “working government” as defined by him believes in big government policies. In other words, Barack Obama’s “working government” is nothing more than a rhetorical substitute for the term big government. The root of the “working government,” unlike the 44th president would have you believe, is not a denial of the big vs. small government competition, but the competition itself!
If an individual does not vote, then that individual cannot argue or comment on the outcome of what our politicians do. Even though voting just seems to take up a brief moment of time, it is the most effective way to voice our opinion and choice for all decisions made by our government. America needs to change if America aspires to become a better country. One of the most important rights of an American Citizen is the right to vote. One thing I like about America is that America is a place where one can debate and discuss issues.
The Importance of Voting Voting is a usually formal expression of opinion or will in response to a proposed decision; especially: one given as an indication of approval or disapproval of a proposal, motion, or candidate for office. The question is why is it important to vote? Being able to vote was not a right. Everyone could not vote centuries ago until 1971 when the Twenty-Sixth Amendment lowered the voting age to 18 and gave all Americans the right to vote. Many fought for, marched for, and died for over the ability to vote centuries ago; but several key reasons will explain why voting is such an important thing to do.
