Poverty budget Food is essential for human existence. In America, foods are abundance and it can be seen in all the grocery stores in America. Anytime you are in grocery store, you feel like buying all the varieties of grocery available in the store, but, is not possible to buy everything at the grocery store because of limited resources but we can buy a healthy food by budgeting on the items and with the available money before going to a store. Been in a grocery store with just $5 and no credit card was not an easy experience, because $5 is too small for my breakfast food talk less for 24hours food; since it was poverty budget I planned very well before buying anything. There are variety of options to choose from, so I decided to go for microwave food that will take like four minutes to cook; because if I have to buy food item that require cooking from the scratch like potatoes, I will only be able to buy one item and is not possible for me to eat the same type of food all day.
I could modify my diet only if I quit working, seriously. I can take my lunch each day and within it I would include fruits and vegetables. My health is important to me, I do exercise but exercising with not having the correct amount of nutrition intake is basically a waste of time. I am planning to start the Food Planner exercise to help me with daily nutrients I am lacking. Below is a chart of Foods I’ve included in my food dairy | Calories | Fat | Carbohydrates | Protein | Fiber (grams) | Cabbage | 290 | 0 | 70 | 16 | 24 | Corn Bread | 418 | 12 | 69 | 7 | 6 | Milk | 146 | 7.9 | 11 | 8 | 0
"If you want the region's economy to build, you have to spend money inside the region," said Bill Weida, president of the Socially Responsible Agricultural Project, retired regional economist and eater of food that comes mostly from near his home in Idaho. "If you're a locavore, that's a big help." Buying chain grocery store food sends money out, while buying from local farms like the Blahas' keeps it close to home, Weida said. He also said being able to see where your food comes from is better than blindly hoping you'd approve of how it's raised” (Spenceley, "LIVING LA VIDA LOCAVORE; A week of eating local introduces a new way of looking at life"). Small farmers benefit from consumers who choose them over Stop & Shop’s aisles of imports, and these small farmers are getting help from the government.

Business Models and Systems Jessie Brown BUS/210 August 1, 2014 Business Models and Systems A local business that I frequently use is called Rouse Supermarket which is a locally owned chain of grocery stores. Rouse differs from the big supermarket chains by offering locally grown fruits and vegetables, Louisiana seafood, meats, and dry goods. This grocery store is well-known for the freshness of their products and excellent customer service. Although their prices may be a little more expensive than their competitors, the company prides itself on providing fresh and local products. The company supports other local businesses by purchasing from local vendors.

He states that they were “grown half way around the world, picked when it was green and ripened with ethylene gas” (Food Inc.). This is meant to inform the audience that what they are eating isn’t what it seems. Just like the rest of the vegetables in the supermarket that is not labeled “organic”. We rarely think completely about where the food we eat comes from and how is it produced.
