Melissa Vazquez Nutrient Summary When doing my dietary analysis I did it over a basis of foods I ate in a complete day. Throughout the day I ate a nature valley bar, yogurt, and vegetarian burger with no bun. What I saw from the dietary analysis that I am lacking very important nutrients that my body needs. The total calories that is recommended for my age group, is 1818 calories. I now currently consume about 689 calories. As you can see this is very low from what people in my age group usually obtain. What it shows I am lacking the most in are mainly vitamins. Based on what I eat on a day to day basis it shows that they are not rich in nutrients when it concerns the vitamin area. The vitamin it shows I am lacking the most in is Vitamin C. Other teenagers in my age group usually obtain an average of 65mg of Vitamin C, while I obtain a mere 1.7mg of Vitamin C. This is an area which needs a lot of improvement in. I am also lacking in other areas such as calcium, phosphorous, and magnesium. These are other important nutrients that one needs to have in their body. Not having these in your system can be very crucial to your health.
