Nutella is the brand name of a hazelnut chocolate spread. Manufactured by the Italian company Ferrero, it was introduced to the market in 1964. 2- HISTORY This remarkable story began in 1946, in Italy. Pietro Ferrero developed a system that enabled him to mass-produce true quality confections and offer them to consumers at reasonable prices. Nutella spread, in its earliest form, was created in the 1940s by Mr. Pietro Ferrero, a pastry maker and founder of the Ferrero Company. 3- NAME HISTOY Nutella was originally called ‘’pasta gianduja’’. The pasta part means paste, and the “gianduja” part is the name of a character famous in Italy. Then they changed the name to “supercrema gianduja”. Later was finally named Nutella in 1964. The makers decided Nutella, at the begining with an english world “nut” and “ella” at the end, is a Latin suffix for sweet and also is for a nice ending. Nocilla was born four years before Supercrema will be renamed Nutella. they only changed three letters Nutella. 4- INGREDIENTS The exact recipe is a secret closely guarded by Ferrero. According to the product label(etiqueta), the main ingredients of Nutella are sugar and vegetable oils, followed by hazelnut (avellanes), cocoa and milk, comprising together at most 28% of the ingredients. Nutella is sold in 75 contries around the would. Nutella was first introduced by an italian company named Ferrero.
