A career is something that you have passion for and that you have no doubt that you want to do this. The career I plan to pursue is pediatric nursing. Pediatric nursing is someone that works with newborns to teenagers. Pediatric nurses know a lot about the growth and development of children, and they need to be skilled in communication with both their patients and caregivers. Always smile, having endless patience, and a friendly personality to make the experience of staying in a hospital a lot less scary for kids, and show them the brighter side of life. The responsibilities of a pediatric nurse is to taking temperatures, blood pressure, and heart rate of the patient, but the major duty of a pediatric nurse is to care for the patients overall health. I volunteer at Heritage Healthcare Center and that is basically a nursing/rehabilitation center, their environment is very homely, comforting, and professional, there employees are very friendly and are never rude to any of their patients or co-workers. I never feel uncomfortable there and that is what I would love to be around in my choice of career. In pediatric nursing you also are responsible for dealing with depressed and stressed parents, and truthfully educate them about the conditions of the children, and also offer them emotional support and strength. Pediatric nurses have to teach parents about to take care of their children once they are released from the hospital. Being that pediatric nursing evolves children
