NTC/405 Networking Protocols and Port Numbers Joanna Williams December 2 2013 The network protocol that is widely used to make video calls possible are the session Initiation Protocol. This protocol will allow the user to setup and use video calls also known as video teleconferencing. The H. 320, and H. 323 are what make this possible. The Session Initiation Protocol or SIP is the application level protocol. It is a signaling protocol which is used to set up, end, and modify in real-time the video stream. This is what controls the session that is established between people over an IP network. To move on I would like to go over what H. 320, and H. 323 are. H. 320 is for equipment with specified technical requirements. Another point that I would like to address is that the H. 320 is for narrow-band video conferencing systems. While the H. 320 uses narrow-band systems the H. 323 is the standard for addressing bandwidth. Along with bandwidth H. 323 controls and transports multimedia, allows call signaling, and control for…show more content…
You would take any steps needed to fix any problems that you may be having. Choosing the steps would depend on what the problems are. If I were to troubleshoot a system I would most likely follow these steps. I would first try to pick out exactly what the problem is. As soon as I figure out the problem I would put together a plan of possible causes. To determine exactly what the cause is I would test each theory until I found the right one. Once I have the problem identified I would then create a plan to resolve that problem. I would put my plan into action to resolve the problem next. If it resolved it then I would let it be, but I would escalate it if needed. I would then make sure that the system is back working the way that it is supposed to. Once the problem has been fixed and verified I would the document anything and everything in case it happened
