But if we stop taking vaccination for such diseases, it may come back. Vaccination is just not to protect ourselves and our children. It is to protect the entire future generation. Unless the disease is 100% eliminated from the entire world, it’s important to keep taking vaccines. If more parents have their children vaccinated, then more children in the community will be protected against catching an illness.
Why Parents Should Not Vaccinate their Children? Vaccination has saved millions of lives all over the globe. The medical world in general, along with government in most countries, supports vaccination as the best way of preventing communicable diseases. But in recent years the issue has surfaced regarding childhood vaccinations as being to blame for the autism epidemic. In my opinion, parents should not vaccinate their children if they want to protect them from developing autism.
Child Vaccinations Throughout the years there has been an increase in the debate on child vaccinations. People have been debating on whether vaccinations for children at young ages is generally safe. There are numerous organizations throughout the United States that deal with child vaccinations. Some people comprehend that child vaccinations damage a child’s body more than they help it, others think different. Vaccinations in children help prevent viruses and bacteria more than causing them.
Vaccination has proved to be one of the best methods to protect a child from dangerous diseases. Getting vaccinated is always better than getting diseases. Most childhood vaccines are 90% to 99% effective in preventing life-threatening diseases as stated by The American Academy of Pediatrics in 2014. The vaccination of a single child not only protects him/her but also helps in building a safer environment for others. It is believed that one should remain prepared for the circumstances caused by life and Vaccination prevents the harsh condition of getting deadly diseases in the future.
Another issue is that the parent might not be well informed or misinformed by only seeing the part of vaccination media has to show. Which in most cases are the side effects of the vaccine. One last issue that arises is of not being around the major diseases that have killed many people, but now have been eradicated by vaccination. Since it has not affected them then vaccination might not be necessary. Those might be the thought of parents who have not lived the pre vaccination era.
The authors also say that people do not want to feel pressured or forced to get tested because people do not want to feel as if it is a requirement; but it is. It is important to practice safe sex and not share needles if you are doing intravenous drugs. The authors also stated as follows: “Currently, in 25% of the AIDS cases in the United States, infected individuals are unaware they are HIV positive” (Driscoll). There used to be a code-based testing to make people feel more comfortable as far as confidentiality is concerned, but since the president changed the law, everyone has to be identified by name. Dirty needles are one way that you can contract this malignant disease.
During the first few days the breast milk produced will contain a substance called colostrum, which would never be an option in formula. The colostrum is full of antibodies and helps the baby become protected from harmful infections, and helps built a strong immune system. It is well known that breastfed babies will get fewer ear infections, respiratory infections, pneumonia, bronchitis, and have fewer problems with diarrhea and constipation. It may also greatly reduce the chance of the baby developing allergies, asthma, certain types of cancers, and it reduces the risk of S.I.D.S. (Sudden Infant death Syndrome) Also breastfed babies may be less likely to become overweight and mothers who breastfeed get back into shape faster.
My family and I did countless hours of research on other effects of artificial sweeteners, we found it “(causes) cancer of the bladder, uterus, ovaries, skin, and other organs” (WebMD). To my family this was a big deal, we did not wanna lose my mom knowing we could have prevented it, so we committed to not only saving our own lives but warning others of the possible effects. Although the negative effects of artificial sweeteners are scary there is also an advantage, it can help people lose weight. This is due to the fact that “sugar substitutes dont count as a carbohydrate, a fat or any other exchange” (WebMD). Even though this sounds glorious, especially to those individuals who have diabetes or are obese that must control the amount of sugar or carbs they consume.
If there were harmful effects, there wouldn’t be anything we would be able to do about it since we didn't have a choice. Knowledge Issues: So this is where the several of the knowledge issues arise: One is the ethics involved with making a vaccine compulsory, as it can be seen as intruding on the personal lives and the freedom of individuals even though it may benefit them over time. Currently, vaccinations are compulsory in the US for children to enter public education, which means parents have to choose between vaccinations or education for their children. Parents also have to decide whether to allow their kids to take the vaccines and therefore require information to make judgments. However, how do we know that these vaccines are really effective, or do they cause more harm than help?
It is imperative that we understand the importance of single parent adoption being accepted into our society because we never know if one day we might find ourselves in this position, and with the fear of being judged by society. According the US Department of Health and Human Services, 33% of children adoptions in foster care are adopted by a single parent. Today, I would like to talk to you about how single parent adoption not only benefits the child, but the parent as well, how single parent adoption can mean a more emotionally and financially stable environment for the child involved, and also how single parent adoption can mean more freedom on decisions such as ethical and religious values to be involved in the child’s upbringing. We need to accept that times have changed, and this is all part of it. To begin, single parent adoption also benefits the adoptive parents.
