Write a story which includes the sentence: ‘I could not believe how much the place had changed since last year’. What a memorable day it was! As if an uncontrollable mixed feeling of emotion and happiness struck my mind when I went back to the place of my birth after one year. Indeed I could not imagine how much the place had changed since last year. A year passed in a pleasant manner, but in the meanwhile changes had taken place in my village. It all happened last fine Sunday morning in the school vacation while my parents and myself set out to the village of Triolet to pay a special visit to my grandfather as soon as we came to know that he was very sick. It was that huge mango tree where I used to sit with my fellow friends of mine playing domino, scrabble, carrom tirelessly almost a whole day and without forgetting we usually ate chilly mango salads. It was sheer delight when I met my friends there. Very often I sang a song to entertain them too. But I felt great anguish when I found that the tree was out of sight. Much to my astonishment, I saw that memorable place of childhood being occupied by a restaurant. The sight of drunkards sitting inside the restaurant made me very unhappy and furious as well. I could not bear the thought that I would not see that nostalgic tree again. I must confess I had never thought of that change before but sometime formerly we could experience a picture of beauty, peace and harmony. This huge marvel is put at the disposal of the inhabitants of the locality which I believe for sure it will accommodate a large number of patients now. In contrast, the old dispensary was small and lacked much space. I could sharply remember that specific day when my father accompanied me to this health centre because of the injury that I had endured while falling from my grandfather`s old bicycle. With regard to the earlier dispensary, I could candidly say it lacked amenities: medicines in particular, we faced long queues waiting for the only doctor who examined us and prescribed us medicines in a couple of minutes. But today this new health institution is a modern one and providing several facilities such as surgery, dental, pharmacy, vaccination and other important health
