Organization of a Health Care Facility James Keffer August 9, 2013 Dr. James Coon Strayer University Abstract As the administrator, I have been hired to create and open a new specialty facility. The facility will include physicians who specialize in the following areas: dermatology, gynecology, heart disease, respiratory disease, surgery, and gastroenterology. The aforementioned advantages cannot be realized if the business operates as nonprofit entity since it will rely on the community for its operations and hence lack the ability and capacity to offer quality medical services. Nonprofit health care organizations depend on volunteers who in most cases do not have enough experience in the health sector. Nonprofit organizations also suffer from poor management and leadership styles which subsequently lead to their failure (Cutler, McClellan & Newhouse, 2000). The firm can easily claim accrued benefits from the government and other social security funds. Medicaid payment also prevents loss of cash in the organization and also fosters the element of transparency and accountability when handling issues of money. Medicare and Medicaid facilities enable the firm to expand its client base and enjoy more profits. I conducted interviews to different doctors and hospital administrators and the census officials from Nevada county division with such I realizes the facility will be profitable in such a region. Medicaid indicated that the covered people of our intended services from such area in the past years were very high. Open-heart surgery is very profitable as well as all other surgical and related services, from the Medicaid report indicated to have covered great number of people in the past years. Due to the fact that the facility was primarily hospital I also read some business magazines and newspapers reports related to making profits for a new health care
