Reflection Paper on Nonviolent Communication Reflection Paper on Nonviolent Communication Looking at the various notions that are discussed by Marshall Rosenberg in the video, this essay looks at the live experience of conflict situation. The conflict can be between two people played the role of the in a situation like it is happening in reality. The video enticed me to adopt the role of each character in any situation and repeat it, but this time by taking the place of others until one realizes his/her mistake and find a more suitable process for both the parties. Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is useful in avoiding the conflict relations often generated by an overly aggressive communication, as well as skid to harassment which is never very far away. Once out of office, it facilitates the harmonious relationship with friends, colleagues or friends. The words are windows of Marshall Rosenberg, who is the reference book about NVC. If the principles are comfortable, the practical implementation is more difficult because we must combat our habits. It takes years to learn how to communicate without violence. How to communicate without violence? The approach adopted by NVC is to not cut oneself i.e. the diminishing of feelings. It is something that is not spontaneous, especially in daily conversation, because we learn to remain factual, and we believe on the facts that are relevant to us when we talk about our feelings. However, it is the opposite! What we take for facts are usually only opinions. On the contrary, when we state our own feelings, we can be more effective. If I say that I am stressed when I can't finish my task in the time allotted me, nothing can be contested in this statement, unless I am blamed to be lying. On the other hand, if I say to my project leader or parents or teachers I’m stressed by them putting too much pressure upon me in the form
