The system will be backwards compatible with the previous console, the Wii. Being that Nintendo has continued to be outsold by its competitors in 2010 and 2011, the Wii U is a smart move for Nintendo. Running another low-end encroachment (Wii U) could be Nintendo’s successor of the Wii. Rather than sustaining their current the technology, the Wii, by just making small incremental improvements, creating a disruptive technology could help Nintendo jump the curve and turn their current sales around. The gaming industry has five to six year “generations” of introducing new technology to the market.

Assignment 1: Chipping away at Intel Student: Vivian Samuel Professor: Dr Vanessa Graham Class: HRM 560 Date: January 28, 2013 Case Study @ Intel Discuss the changes at Intel over the first three years of CEO Craig Barrett’s tenure. The case study presented for this assignment describes the management decisions of Craig Barrett as being “bold moves that took Intel beyond chip making for PC’s [and] into the production of information and communication appliances as well as services related to the Internet” (Palmer & Dunford 2009 pg 72). Barrett had spent lots of money by investing in new business projects and markets that soon had to be withdrawn due to possible lack of knowledge. The first change conducted by Barrett was to “withdraw [the business] from the production of network servers and routers after copping backlash from its biggest customers Deli and Cisco” Second, he closed down Intel’s partner for e-commerce services iCat, which was an e-commerce service partner for small businesses providing Web broadcasting of share-holder meetings. Barrett seemed to believe that his so-called ‘hands on leadership disciplines were the best strategies for keeping Intel out in front of its growing list of competitors.
This generic phrasing, however, does not aid in the differentiation. As a consumer, what about a mission statement such as that would draw me to one company vs. another? “In essence, the mission statement defines the direction in which the organization is heading and how it will succeed in reaching its desired goal” (Peter & Donnelly 8). An article for Demand Media, written by Elizabeth Smith and titled Five Criteria for a Mission Statement, gives a fairly succinct breakdown of what you should look for when both analyzing and writing a mission statement. Smith first directs us that a mission statement be informative.
The blackout in 2007 lasted for nine hours and the one in 2008 lasted for three hours. This failure was thought to be caused by a malfunction of one of the company’s main pathways, which was responsible for the connection between main email servers and RIM’s network. The Business partners of RIM seemed to be affected by the blackouts more than BlackBerry users. The partners began to question whether or not RIM could conduct services reliably. They feared that the blackouts may be the beginning of a trend of poor service.

Seeing as how the iphone has been on top for so long then that can only mean the cell phone company the iphone is with is on top with it. That would be at&t which started off a long time ago as cingular wireless. Apple and at&t made a long term deal before the iphone was put on to the market. Now that apple has become one of the top notch sellers of the world they are starting to spread their business horizons.
Around every corner is another poster or commercial tricking you into buying their product. For 35 years, The Microsoft corporation and Apple Industry has been in a "technology" feud. Often, their advertising is seen to be directed towards each other. The recent commercial Apple industry marketed, "I'm PC, and I'm Mac," portrays PC as someone stereotypically known as a "geek" wearing a simple tan suit and glasses while Mac is portrayed as a charming male. As a comeback, Microsoft markets a commercial similarly to Apple's.
