Some (mainly parents) may oppose to this proposition as it may be an awkward environment where students are trying to learn but are feared by the knowledge that the very person standing in front of them teaching, is armed with a dangerous weapon. And who is to say the teachers themselves would not commit a crime? Not every person in the world is “good” and it’s not always the students that are to blame. There have been records of teachers that were unable to teach because of their emotional instability or mental illness. Knowing this, any teacher could pull off a well-devised plan to wipe out everyone simply because no one would have suspected them.
If this bill were to be passed it would hold the agencies accountable for uploading criminal history records. This bill being passed would not strengthen the checks but it would make sure that they stay updated. I think this is a good idea because this could result in guns not being sold to people with criminal backgrounds. Then again, this bill does not fully help the school shootings happening across America. If a kids parent has the consent to
Bullying Beyond the School Yard: In Business Bullying does not end at the school yard. Bullying can continue into adulthood and affect people in the workplace. Bullying is present in business, but it may be ignored. Whether from a lack of awareness or preventive supervision, bullying behavior at the work place does not get the necessary attention. As indicated by Harrington, Rayner and Warren (2012, p.395), a high percent of employees would not even file a claim as they believe the situation could get worse.
Most persons in the past who have been involved in the shootings of schools/colleges have had no prior history of: violence, emotional issues or anger issues. This is only in most case studies not all. Again, personally I do not believe anyone is stable enough to carry a concealed weapon or weapons to school or public places. For example, there is a shoot-out at a school/public place but the shooter/shooters are not permitted to carry a concealed weapon, now the person/persons that are legally entitled to carry a concealed weapon may feel obligated to play the hero role and try to contain or end this situation without proper authorities on scene. This could be good thing if everything was a perfect world, but it is far from that.
So gun control is not the answer to the problem. Law Enforcement needs to crack down on criminals and the illegal sales of firearms to help elevate the problems with the death or homicide rate. The normal everyday work class people do not need to be punished for the acts of criminals and drug dealers. If gun control were to take effect and guns were outlawed it would still not solve the problem at hand. It wouldn’t solve the problems because only the outlaws
Living in fear is not how we want to live. Guns provide people with a false sense of safety, and it's true that guns do not kill people, but rather people do. Therefore, more guns do not solve gun shootings and mass school shootings but is danger for the society. Comparing to other countries that don't allow people to have guns, such as the China, the gun crime rate and murder rate is a lot lower than those same statistics in the US. In addition, we don’t need assault weapon to protect ourselves, its not a 'civilians' job to stop criminals who possess guns, it is the police's job.
Many of them often pay a low price even when caught. However, being young should not be an excuse for not going to jail. There should be no free ride for people under the age of 18. Some people believe that young criminals should not even be in school, but rather, a sort of Boot Camp. In Boot Camp the juveniles would be trained as mini marines and learn discipline.
That’s all I want is just to limit the access that people have to firearms. Another argument would be to not leave people defenseless but as I stated before there are other ways to protect yourself. Right now there is a debate going on about letting people carry guns onto school campuses because of school shootings that happened in “gun-free” zones. I do not think that would be a wise idea because if any little misunderstanding, argument, or dispute went on and someone really disagreed with it, then who knows what would happen. Fights in schools happen all the time, but usually the worst of it is a couple punches thrown.
Lack of education could also be a factor of crime. Kids who grow up in families that do not stress the importance of getting an education are more likely to be out in the streets, doing drugs, or joining gangs. Most kids who do not have a good education in school getting a job and staying out of trouble with the law could be very difficult for them. Lack of education on their
If the adults cannot buy a gun legally there is always the other option, to get them from selling them illegally When responsible adults buy a gun, they most likely will not use it to murder people. They would use it so they can help themselves. A lot of people are in danger every day and most of them don’t have any protection. Guns aren’t the best way to solve a problem but if you are in need for some help and protection, then a gun can help a lot. 67% of Americans own a gun for protection from crime.
