In different points during organization’s life, many communicational challenges can arise causing significant issues that affect the relationship among workers. Now a days, due to new technologies, interpersonal communications have been reduce to their minimal expression. At least that is my perception of the organizational communicational challenges. In my current job, I reported to the company’s COO directly. His preferred method of communication is the email; however, my position as a production manager demands constant presence on the production floor which is far from my desk. Production employees start to work a 07:00 am until 03:30 pm which means that during those hours I am away from my desk. Even though I start to work at 06:00 am to make sure all work is distributed among company’s different department, I cannot return to my desk until the scheduled production is finished. That normally happens after 03:30 pm. At this point, when I open my computer, I found more than 50 emails from the COO asking about some manufacturing issues, but most of his correspondence is asking about why I do not respond his emails in a timely fashion. Several times I explained to the C – Team about my daily schedule, but he is the only one who does not get it. My biggest challenge is to optimize our communication in order to increase the production output without been a desk slave. What methods and tools can we use in order to build an efficient and strong organizational communication?
