The increase in satisfaction and motivation will cause a great impact in the increase of a particular individual’s productivity. Employees similar to any other individuals also seek to want their needs to be fulfilled by their organizations. In this essay, we study how recognizing employees’ needs increases their satisfaction and motivation. Keywords: Needs, satisfaction, motivation, employees 1. Introduction Every single individual craves to be recognized and they want others to notice their talents and gifting. Employees are like any other human who have physical, emotional, belongingness, and self actualization needs that are needed to be satisfied and fulfilled. [Abraham Maslow, 1966] An organization therefore, will have to take important measures and actions in order to boost the productivity and performance amongst their employees by recognizing their needs and not to fail to fulfil those needs as well. Why so? Employees are an organizations’ most important asset. They are one of the key resources who play an important role in developing, ensuring and enhancing the growth of an organization. An organization who takes good care of their employees will be able to retain a good workforce and will hence, be able to project a positive image to the public.
