Parents should communicate to manage their child’s academic success. Volunteering and learning at home requires a parent to help the student with homework and other educational activities. Decision making type of involvement is communicating with the student to discuss improvement and student success. 1. As a teacher, I can promote resilience in my classroom by creating positive and caring relationships with my parents and children. Promoting caring relationships with my families would be top priority in my classroom. Parents have to trust that their children are safe and welled cared for when they leave their children in my care. For example, I would host a family day where the students can bring their parent s to school for the day.
Effective communication is also important so that information given is clear, concise, accurate, and informative. This decreases the possibility of errors being made. It is important to work as a team with other members of the setting, so that the child is getting the support the need and so that ever one is working to achieve the same results and goals. Within my own we use a range of methods to communicate with parents such as, monthly newsletters, class teachers hand-outs/diary informing parents what their child is doing each term, letters and posters. Having effective communication with the parents is important so that they know how their child is doing and what is happening at the nursery.
According to the authors, millennial students were influenced by a unique set of culture, such as hard work, supportive parents who desire the best for their future. Even with these positive qualities, millennial students also give difficulties to their teachers, counselors and the administrators at high school and college levels. Many children are watching a show named jersey shore on an everyday basis. Jersey shore is a reality show about ordinary people living together and learning how to get along. There are real life situations on this program which are not always good to be viewed by children. It shows a variety of ways to party; it shows infidelity and in some cases violence. Some of these contestants are role models for the kids.

This is particularly important for kids who are home alone for a few hours every day after school, as school sponsored activities will help children to stay occupied and will keep their minds actively engaged. If your kids are old enough to work for a few hours after school each day, encourage them to get a job. This will not only keep them busy and prevent them from feeling bored, it will also take up a pretty healthy amount of time which they might otherwise spend mindlessly hanging out with their friends or getting involved in something that you would prefer they
As a key person I have key children who I monitor day to day. As I do this, I like to meet regally with their parents to update their progress and development. I also believe sharing information with my room manager is very important because, If I am absent from work one day and one of my key children are in, there may be a chance she doesn’t know certain needs that require for the child. I also think when talking to a child I would speak in a calm and kind manner, to encourage the child’s self-confidence and to help them behave sensibly. It will help build a relationship with the child and for them to be able to trust me and become more openly about any problems they may have.
Those influential models include parents within the family, TV characters/commercials , friends, and school teachers which provide examples of behavior. By paying close attention to those models, children tend to encode their attitude and develop their behavioral habits . When a child copies a model’s behavior and the consequences are rewarding, it is believed that the child is likely to continue performing that behavior (McLeod, 2011).
