On Wednesdays I only had class till 4pm, Thus I could go outside and enjoy the rest of that beautiful sunny day. One of my favorite outside activities is hiking, mainly here in the west there are so many amazing places to explore and appreciate the amazing nature.

There, they were able to rest, get warm food, and not worry about getting attacked for the first time since December 17, 1944. While they were there, General Eisenhower awarded the 101st Airborne Division the Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation. This was a great honor because this was the first time it was awarded to a whole division. The last reason why the men of E. Company are my heroes is because where ever they were needed they were there to help. On January 18th to February 23rd they were put on the front lines in Hagenau to fight the Germans back and won.
The church lost man power and impoverishment through not being able to cultivate their vast tracts of land. Many important people including a medieval doctor, Ibn-al–Wardis, and a philosopher named, Gental-da-Foligna died while studying the ways to cure Black Plague. The plague also affected agriculture because their was few peasants to tend to the fields because they were dying and the few left wanted more money because they were doing more work. Krakauer’s childhood was a life outdoors and full of adventure, which was brought on by his father. Throughout his entire life he had a passion for mountaineering and climbing, and inevitably gave him a motivation to write about the outdoors and climbing. McCandless shows some of the qualities that Krakauer possesses; he has no fear of what may come next, and has the guts to try anything to challenge himself. McCandless was a rebelled toward his upper-class society which raised him and ran away without a destination. He did this to find what the world is actually like without
As we got closer to Kashgar, we came across a Chinese monk who traveled by foot from China to India, and also was crossing this range. He told of us how we visited many Buddhist sites to acquire Buddhist scriptures. It was very interesting to some across this man, for I have never seen someone of that culture. Besides that being really the only positive thing as we crossed the range, winter was neat. To survive this snow, my group and I would throw sand on the ice so the camels would get a better grip, letting them safely cross.
Therefore, Hall’s arrogance that he could lead everybody to the summit of Mt. Everest led to the deaths of his inexperienced clientele. Hall was not the only guide to put his clients in danger; Scott Fischer also allowed his pride to cloud his leadership. Guides were responsible for the acclimatization of their clients in the thin air. The typical technique for this was to take one’s entire group up the mountain at once and on a constant schedule.
I openly marveled at the breathtaking surroundings around me, only to see pained reactions from my host family. I later learned that the very same mountains that I found beauty in, were the hiding grounds they associated with
The pair safely descended as well and made it off the mountain alive. The team all agreed it was a joint effort with them saying they reached the top together, but a few years later Tenzing admitted that Hillary had put his foot on the summit first. Over the years many more people have climbed Mount Everest as it a climbing and adventurous haven, people do it for a thrill as there is great risk in it. Since the early attempts and the first summit many more routes have been established making it more accessible. In total now the mountain has been climbed 5656 times, which shows that climbing Everest has developed in many areas, one main factor just from the figure you can see is that more people can do it and have the freedom to do so, it also shows that more people have much more leisure money as to climb Everest it is very costly and time
I remember my father taking me to go for hikes up in the mountains and taking me rock climbing on his days off. We used to have long and serious talks during our adventures in natures. He would talked to me about the importance of prioritizing in life, he would say to remember that God should always be my top priority and that everything else would later on come into place. He would tell me about the importance of my value as a young woman, and how I needed to guard my
