It is about a limited topic, that is, not so vague or broad that it is impossible to write about persuasively. It is not a question, although it may be the answer to a question. It does not include unnecessary phrases like “in my opinion,” or “I think”; the reader assumes that this is what you think. It uses simple, clear language and avoids figurative language such as similes or metaphors. Perhaps most important, it is about a discussable topic.
