NANOTECHNOLOGY Nanotechnology Oscar Leal Instituto Mater A.C. Abstract Unethical behavior in the nanotechnology field can wreak havoc upon our society. Not only are there direct effects such as safety, security, and private invasion, but unapparent effects also exist. The overall display of unethical behavior has unapparent but dangerous effects too. With these faults in maintaining ethical standards others are inspired to perform unethically as well. The more and more these instances occur the more expectable they become. This changes the whole face of society and creates each generation less ethical then the previous. I think maintaining high ethical standards are needed to succeed in anything. Without a code of ethics you create room for trouble. The ethical principles discussed in my essay display standards that allow companies to handle business without confusion and false information. They create an honest zone and make it possible for trust to be put in contracts. I also feel that those who violate these ethical standards should be prosecuted to the furthest extent. This will present precedence that unethical behavior will not be tolerated. When talking about Nanotechnology, everything can be relevant and dangerous. Nanotechnology Nanotechnology is an emerging material science technology which provides a higher level of control over matter at dimensions of roughly 1 to 100 nanometers. Nanotechnology's particularly small scale (10-7 to 10-9) improves physical, chemical, and biological properties of materials and systems. For instance, 10 nanometers are about 1000 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair. For scientist to be able to control material, devices, and systems on a molecular scale opens up infinite possibilities in the nanotechnology field. Every existing science and technology field will become more advance and complex,
