Procrastinating homework is never a good idea. Even though you may not want to do it, it is always a better idea to get the homework done and over with. After putting of my Frankenstein paper for quite sometime, I have learned many lessons. I have learned to get my homework done in a timely manner, plan ahead, and be more thorough with my work. After procrastinating a lot of my homework this year, I have learned now, for second semester that I need to step it up a little bit.
From the start, you have commented on my text stating that it “challenges the reader,” and that “you love [my] sentence style”. The feedback that you provided on my Personal Essay stayed intact throughout the semester, and was even more available in my Destination Essay. I had “interesting ideas” and “big moments” for the audience, according to you. Based on these comments, my self-awareness regarding my voice improved greatly in each assignment. I grew as a writer in the sense that I provided riveting topics and ideas for the reader each and every time; I felt that I engaged the audience well because I was able to switch up the mood occasionally.
I think the most helpful worksheet for this paper was the communication strategy worksheet. It really help me solved all the underlying questions beforehand so it was easier for me to write my first draft. Once I started writing my draft I found it to be very hard to not make a recommendation. I felt that my first draft was very unorganized because I begin putting more emphasis on other issues. If it wasn’t for the peer reviews, I
Collage Application Essay Assignment In my past, I have made many good and bad decisions in my lifetime. The one I am most proud of would have to be my junior year grades. I went from being a D average student to becoming a 3.0 student. I decided to actually try and to see what kind of grades I could get; it ended up being that I could get good grades, and it wasn’t even that difficult. I decided to try because of my parents, sports, and most importantly my future.
Have a Schedule Having a schedule seems like a pretty basic organization skill, but it's amazing how many students don't exhibit the self-discipline they should have to be successful. It might have something to do with the proliferation of instant gratification. I don't know. Regardless of the cause, top students have self-discipline. Roberta McGarry Diagnostic Essay Writing Goals In this course I hope to learn a lot to improve my writing. The last time I was in school was 20 years ago. I haven’t had to write anything since except the occasional email at work. I feel that I have never been a great writer. Therefore my first goal for this class is to refresh my memory on writing a good paper.
For example, Seattle University, from which I graduated, had great learning assistance programs. Since I wasn’t a great student in high school and had to learn a new language and culture, it was the most challenging experience going through my college education. However, I did my best studying with getting many helps from these learning assistance programs and successfully graduated with good grades. I believe that these programs helped me not only getting good
I must say I liked the idea of one big paper because in my opinion there is no way you can receive a bad grade. Since the paper was due towards the end of the semester with segments of it due throughout the semester like proposal, rough draft, and ECT, this gave me more than enough time to work on it. Also, I had the opportunity to turn my paper in early so that I can receive feedback on it before the due date increasing my chances of receiving a good grade. I must say I feel like I have become a better writer since last semester. I took the comments, criticism, and suggestions professor Underwood gave me on previous papers and put them into this paper.
Do any of these teachers teach us how important good writing skills are to our lives and our futures? [This class has already taught me more in one week than in my entire prior education.] Do they really make sure, this is no joke? My opinion, no they do not. For this reason, it has affected the future endeavors for myself and I am sure many others.
Anthony Suryajaya English 101 December 8, 2013 Reflective Commentary Some people take classes just to make sure that they get good grades in every single subject they take and just to fulfill the requirement of the associate degrees they might choose at North Seattle Community College. Well, I do have the same goal as them, yet I feel that I need to learn a lot of things from each subject that I take and I feel that experiences are the most important thing that needs to be considered. In this quarter, I take English 101 as one of my subjects this quarter. I think that I was a bad writer before I take this English 101 class because I really feel that I do not know how to write correctly. I do not know how to write a good introduction and conclusion, and I have a bad grammar structure.
