Nickolas Eibler Common App Essay Option 4 8/17/14 I’ve visited many places throughout my life and I feel like I’ll visit many more before it’s over. There have also been many places that I’ve called home at some point or another. Home to me is a very important thing because I’m always out and about doing things and thinking about what I need to do next because that’s the kind of person I am, and Home is the one place where I can relax and take time to myself. I’ve had two different homes since I’ve been alive and both of them have been my room. My room truly is my safe haven where many things happen. Whether it be rehearsing for shows and auditions, sleeping, reading a book, etc., my room truly is one of my most favorite places on earth. Since I was a child, one of my favorite things to do is create my own fantasies. Sometimes I create magical worlds, or ideas for movies/plays, or my own theme park. I know some of this all my sound kind of childish but even today I still continue to do these things to relax my mind from the stresses of everyday life and escape into my own imaginary realities. Since I was young I’ve always been fascinated with Disney World and everything Disney has done to make their Florida resort one of the happiest places on Earth. I decided one day that I’d create my own resort theme park. I layed out a poster board and went to work. I followed the layout of Disney World and created four theme parks with various resorts and other activities for families. I knew nothing would ever come of this but creating my own Disney World gave me this sense of happiness and joy to know that I was in charge of creating the different rides and themes of the resorts and imagining in my mind what people would think if this were an actual place.
