As a child I visited Florida every holiday and a year later my mother decided to move to Florida. My first time visiting Florida was so memorable we would visit family members and eat at different restaurants. A favorite place for me when I visited Florida was the getting my hair braided at the shop and going to the race track. I remember when we visited the race track Mr. Gerald Alston a famous singer treated me and my cousin our favorite place we enjoyed riding the race cars, playing games at the arcades. It was wonderful all the children were steering at us while we attended the race track with Mr. Alston; their parents were amazed at the singer spending time at the race track with kids in public.
My site visit report was conducted on the BAPS Hindu Temple (Shri Swaminarayan Mandir) in Lilburn, Georgia. Not only was my visit a visual learning experience, it was also a mini vacation into a different world. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine such a beautiful and ornate religious structure existing within driving distance of my house. Ironically before this assignment was given, I traveled to the BAPS Hindu Temple with my family on what was supposed to be a “surprise visit to a place we had never been before”, according to my mother. I expected to go to lunch, visit a new state park or go out shopping in a new boutique, but I never guessed what I later saw as one of the most beautiful structures made by man.
“If I have to wait here one more minute I’m going to start punching babies”. Brittany whined as we slowly made our way through the Splash Mountain waiting line in Disney World, supposedly the happiest place on Earth. However, after the rain, high school drama, and 5 endless days of walking it was starting to be more of a pain then anything. Every other year, like most high schools our Visual and performing arts departments takes a “glorious” spring break trip to the one and only Disney World. According to the itinerary’s handed to our parents it would be a one of a kind learning experience, full of workshops, performances and behind the scenes look at the performing parts of Disney.
Miley Cyrus: Then and Now Growing up, I constantly watched The Disney Channel. Shows like That so Raven, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and Hannah Montana were among my favorite shows to watch. As I grew older so did many actors which appeared on these shows. Many seemed to have drifted away from the limelight, all except for one, Miley Cyrus. Better remembered as Hannah Montana, Miley continued her acting and singing career away from The Disney Channel.
Still ‘light-years’ ahead of the rest! Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope - By Anna Hale Totally out of the world! What film did you see when you were younger, that inspired you? For me, 'Star Wars' played a huge part in my childhood and some of the lessons it taught me are still very much a part of my life to this day. I watched Star Wars with my brother -Dave- for the first time one Christmas and from then on we were both hooked.
He did this by throwing amazing parties, full of people he did not know, all in hopes that by chance Daisy would decide to join and come to one. Green, while representing hope, can also represent rebirth. Green trees that have been that have looked as though they carry no life through winter; always refurbish themselves with green blossoms that show rebirth. When Gatsby stared off into the distance at the green light on Daisy's pier across the lake, he was hoping for the renewing or rebirth of their old relationship. He constantly denies himself from believing that the fire between them has died, never losing hope.
We may not had the best of everything, but what we did have we appreciated. Holiday where the best for me growing up I can remember all my Aunts and uncles and cousins coming over to our house and we had a ball the kids ran around and played while the grownups BBQ and drank and played cards I looked forward to holidays because you know it was going to be fun I always hated to see it end and could not Waite until the next big holiday came
First I wanted to be a crossing guard just like my grandmother, then I wanted to be a teacher like my favorite teacher Ms. Terry, next I wanted to be a fashion designer, a news castor, a basketball player, a physical therapist the list goes on and on. Luckily I had a very supportive family so whenever I came up with a new career they always gave me hope that I could do it. From the ages of one to nine each of my birthdays were celebrated with big parties in my grandparent’s backyard. Everyone would come to wish me a happy birthday and I always had the best time. There were food, games family and friends all the things a child could hope for at birthday party.
Ben Wilkins Mr. Oldenburg Adv. Composition. January 29, 2015 Metamorphosis Over the past few years my relationships with my mentors and my view on their role in my life has played a huge part in who I am today. I have had many role models come and go. Some are gone, some I dearly miss, and some I pray will stay with me as long as possible.
Free Write The changes that I listed in my change wheel have effected my life tremendously and I wouldn’t change them for the world. Some of the global changes like the drinking age have not also affected my life. They have almost got me into some trouble but gave me some great times and memories to remember for the rest of my life and maybe even pass on as wise stories for my kids. My changes that have been listed will also make great wise tales and stories for my kids to hopefully learn from and listen to as advice for the world they will be growing up in. The fact being that the world they grow up in will surely be much different than the way I knew it at my age now as the same for my parents.
