My Passion - Music Music has always been the thing, that inspires me the most. I discovered the genres of music that I listen to now, when I was about 10. I was watching a movie with my parents. I don't really remember the movie, I just remember the music. It was The Beatles, and that day I fell in love with music. Music has a really big influence on my mood, and, depending on the mood of the song, it can almost always cheer me up. Even if it isn't necessarily a happy song, it can still make me feel a little better, with the knowledge that someone else has felt the same way as me. I simply can't live without music, and I take my iPod with me, everywhere I go. I can't go on a train, bus or car journey without my iPod, because the music makes time pass faster. No matter what I do, I'm almost always listening to music at the same time. I want to be an author when I grow, and I also use music for inspiration when I write stories. If I do become an author, I think music will play a huge part in that process, because I often write stories based on lyrics. Music has been important to me, for as long as I can remember, because I can relate to a lot of the lyrics, and it reminds me that I'm not alone, so music has gotten me through some tough times. I mostly listen to rock music, because I feel like that kind of music has the most meaning. At least to me. There are a lot of bands who have had an influence on me, but my three absolute favourite bands are Nirvana, Young Guns and Foo Fighters. They've inspired me to try and learn an instrument, and I've been writing my own songs for a while. Music is one of the things, I use the most to express myself. When I write songs, it helps me get everything that's bothering me off my chest, and I feel a little better. I know, I'm not the only one who feels like that about music.
