When he traveled to Wilhelmina, he met Mama Jenny and his son Joel, and befriend them. When he reached Los Angeles, he stops by a mosque, but overhears a violent preaching from a man named Faisal Rahman. He carried on to meeting the president. When the president came, he shouted “Mr. President, my name is Khan and I’m not a terrorist.” The people misinterpreted what he said so he was captured. While in the prison he was interrogated as a terrorist suspect and meets a psychiatrist who believes he is innocent. He is later released after a media campaign by some Indian student reporters who prove his innocence and revealed that Faisal Rahman was the true terrorist. After his release, he returns to hurricane-hit Wilhelmina to help Mama Jenny and her son. The media and other Muslims helped
