Cox describes the sunrise as a giant eye opening but she is talking about the shape. She describes the whales dimples like golf balls because of there form and contour. She describes the whale’s hair like the whiskers of a cat, since they are same thickness and shape.
Born into a white, aristocratic family in New York City, Roosevelt began her life standing on the perfect foundation off of which she could propel into future success. However, unlike the many others who essentially stood on that same foundation, Roosevelt attained the personal ideals necessary to take full advantage of her opportunities. This document will focus on Roosevelt’s entire life, which spans from 1884 to 1962, during which occurred the two infamous World Wars, the Great Depression, and the beginnings of the Civil Rights Movement. All of these events were arenas in which Eleanor Roosevelt utilized her role as First Lady to help society significantly. Roosevelt spent most of her days in New York City and Washington D.C but also traveled to many countries to promote freedom and human rights throughout the world.

When Da-Duh’s granddaughter talks about the tall buildings, she brings up a postcard. Da-Duh’s granddaughter asked Da-Duh if she wanted her to send a postcard with a picture of the tall skyscrapers. That postcard could have been a slight step towards living in the moment but her life in Barbados restricted her from the step because she was internally attached to Barbados and could not let go. Da-Duh has lived in Barbados her entire life, and change in her attitude would have made little to no difference now because her culture has become her life. In the end though, Da-Duh did ask for the postcard.

Cody Sinkovics 9-23-2011 World Performance “The Guys” 1. One example that Joan showed restore behavior is at the beginning when she was explaining how she would wait for magazines to see what she was happening in New York. I say this because she was “living life” and since she would wait everyday she did it more than once because it became a habit for her. Another example of her showing restored behavior is at the beginning when she was recalling on how she told her family and ask about if they have heard about the September 11th attacks because she was telling about a traumatic event. Finally, Nick shows an example by recalling all of his lost fire men personality on how he seen them through his daily life.
It examines how women in middle-class America, mainly married women who don’t work full time, have adopted roles in the home not much different from those of Victorian England; roles of child-rearing, subservience, and kowtowing to male dominance. It begins with an analysis of two towns, Vanport City, a World War II era two era town built for working women with husbands fighting in the war, and Levittown, the first true post-World War II American suburb. This suburb failed, however it created a standard for women in America that still prevails today. It also erased almost all the advances women made in the workforce during the war. Museum of Jewish Heritage Lea Viera April 9, 2014 During spring break, I visited a museum in New York City that referenced the holocaust and the accomplishment of rebuilding the Jewish culture. When my mother and I went to New York I looked up museums around the area, once we came across this one we went for it. The museum went over these following topics: the Jewish culture before the holocaust, the war against the Jews during the holocaust, and the Jewish renewal after the holocaust. The most powerful lesson I learned was how much the Jewish people went through during the holocaust, and learning about made me feel unworthy for my belongings I have. From entering one exhibit to another, it was intriguing to see how strong the Jews were during the horrific event.
