I went on a field trip once in the fifth grade to the water plant and the man giving us the tour asked the class “do you know a way to get rid of water so it won’t come back?” One of my classmates raised their hands and said “to go pee” and the man explained to us that the water will come back and has been around for as long as the earth. It is not a nice thought to have while drinking a fresh cup of water but it helped us understand the importance of filtrations systems and city water levels. I remember learning about acid rain on that trip as well. The water cycle can really begin at any location of the Earth but if I were a water molecule I would start my Journey in the ocean. I love the ocean and most of the planets water is there as well. The sun is the source of heat for the ocean and gives the water the opportunity to turn into water vapor which move into the air with the wind currents and into the atmosphere. The vapor rises into the air where cooler temperatures cause it to condense into clouds. Water goes to many sources when released through precipitation. A lot of it goes right back into the ocean while some go into lake, rivers, water plants, and into the ground. Water is vital to ever single living being and without it our earth would not exist. I live in Texas and we have had a few droughts and the thought of running
