MY LIFE STORY MY LIFE STORY Social learning theory is the basis of how different people influenced my life. This paper is a little bit about my life where, when and how my life is modeled from the different individuals that influenced my life. Looking back over the years wondering how and where I came from and how I came to be. I started out in Rowan County; in a small town in East Spencer, North Carolina. As, the fifth child of thirteen sisters and brothers; my parents, sisters and brothers has had a lot to do with where I am from and how I came to be. My parents married at an early age in their lives. I remember how my parents had to struggle and worked hard trying to provide for the four of us. There was a child born in between my second oldest sister and me that died at what they called “crib death”. My parents had to work every day but in the mist of working hard they still found time to give us a lot of love, support, stability, and provided us with what we needed. We always had clean clothes, food and going to school and church was a must. Later, the family continued to grow and each of us had our own place in the family as well as different personalities. Doris, being the oldest of all of us was gifted to sing and would get us together teaching us how to sing in harmony. It was then we realized that God had given all of us that gift to sing. These were great moments for my sisters and me because we participated in all of the school talent shows. Our parents were very proud of us and encouraged us to continue to sing. My oldest sister got killed in July of 1966; she had just graduated from high school. This was a very sad time for the family losing her at such a young age. I was in the fifth grade not knowing too much about death. Today, my sisters and I still sing in the church choir. In 1971, I graduated for North Rowan High School and
