September 27th 2012 Josh Fewer ENG 3U Mrs. Breault Satire/Parody Every day is a new beginning. A brand new start and everybody has an opportunity to flourish and put their skills on display. In high school, you’re given the opportunity to make friends due to a system. To many, it’s a very psychological and natural event that sorts people that share similar traits, into various groups. Any guesses?
Little did I know that the next activity would allow us to get to know each other even more. This activity immediately got me excited. Almost all my other classes I had been to so far went through the normal expected class in “syllabus week”, putting me nearly to sleep. However Education 300 was right away interesting and engaging. The first activity was working
I had just finished my junior year in high school and my dad got transferred out there for his job. I was pretty stoked even though I knew I’d miss my friends and home town. But a new beginning awaited me and I literally couldn’t wait to experience California! The Ocean, the lifestyle, the women!! So I started my senior year and made tons of friends which I had never had a problem doing.
Now, it’s very reminscent due to the family issues that have arose since Xander’s birth. I am pretty confident that you understood what I was trying to say. Part 4: What did you enjoy about the writing process during this paper? Pick out your favorite sentence(s) and write them here. I learned how funny it is the way friends are made in high school; it’s based entirely on how one looks or who one grew up with. When I started seeing results of my diet, I started gaining more and more friends, mainly more girls. As sad as it is to hear, it’s the truth. Because of who I was, it will always stay a part of me. I will never forget my past because it was such a big part of my life.
I had no trouble completing high school, taking most AP classes throughout my then short academic career. It seemed to me that I would simply coast through college as though it were nothing more that an extension of high school. I was sorely mistaken on that front, but what I was absolutely right about was how fun my new experience in college would be. I ended up attending Prairie View A&M University as a freshman in the fall of 2001. It didn't take long to notice that the freedom

College Connect has done great things for my family and I; it motivated me to apply for scholarships, inspired me to do well in school and most importantly, to dream big. As a first generation student, my parents and I had no idea about SAT’s, college applications, scholarships, etc.I had no idea what the whole process was like. However, due to the support and help that College Connect offered me, I have successfully been accepted to a four year college. For me the most helpful thing about College Connect is the fact that students can go into their office whenever a question arises. Everyone at College Connect is always supportive towards whatever the student is concerned about.
Joining this Fraternity has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I know through this I have many so many life-long brothers that will always be there for me at all times. It has been quite an adjustment, but it was not hard to do at all. When Percy says “Such a man is far more advanced in the dialectic than the sight-seer who is trying to get off the beaten track-getting up at dawn and approaching the canyon through the Mesquite” (Percy Par. 11) it is a great example of a new person like myself walking into a public University for the first time.
